Welcome.

I am a fibre artist in Falmouth, Massachusetts on Cape Cod.

I weave on a Japanese Saori Loom.

Saori is a free style weaving which encourages free expression and spontaneity.

I like this style of weaving because it gives me the freedom to explore a theme and to communicate this theme through color and texture.

The weaving projects that unfold change from the single fiber to a piece of cloth which then can flow and express itself into many shapes and forms.

From one warp I often will make several different things: a pillow cover, a table runner or a bag.  From another warp,

I will make a six foot three dimensional hanging, adding beads, buttons, feathers or whatever I can find.

The warp and the weft play and intermingle.  The color and texture of the wool, cotton, linen, bamboo all twine together.

They play..I play and together we make a masterpiece!
